Who is Adrian Gilliam?

Adrian Gilliam is a Sport Martial Artist. With over 10 years of training, Adrian has won numerous State, National, and World Competition Titles.

Adrian was trained by some of Orlando’s finest Black Belt Instructors during his quest for a Black Belt.

Adrian earned his Black Belt in 2007 and began his advanced forms and weapons training under Marc Canonizado who has obtained every grand champion title possible and countless international titles.

Adrian also trained extensively with Caitlin Dechelle, one the sports most decorated athletes. Caitlin has earned 55 World Titles and was honored by being inducted into the Black Belt Magazine Hall of Fame. But Martial Arts is more than forms and weapons, it’s all about the sparring. With advanced coaching and training by such legendary greats as Bobby Dixon and superstar Bill “Superfoot” Wallace, Adrian won the 2009 NASKA World Champion, KickUSA National Champion, and FAME2K State Champion titles.

Academic Education:

Technically Adrian has been homeschooled, but in reality Adrian has received a 21st century education via the Internet. This has allowed him to progress at his own pace while attending school year round and practicing karate.

Age 4-7— This portion of his education was really homeschooling by his mother who taught him the basics: reading, writing, and arithmetic.

Age 8-11— K12.com— Provided online education from 3rd grade through 8th grade.

Age 12-13— FLVS.net— The State of Florida provides online education with live teachers. Adrian has completed high school in 2 years and completed high school course work in August 2011. He has taken all honors and AP courses, except 2 years of Chinese language, with a 4.0 average as of May 2011.

Age 13 – University of Central Florida – Adrian began classes fulltime at UCF, in the Fall of 2011, under the State of Florida’s Early Enrollment Program.  In his first semester, Adrian made the Dean’s List and is preparing for his second semester (6 classes).
